AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF
BHAI SAHIB RANDHIR SINGH JI

About the Book:

Freedom fighter, reformer, the hero of the Lahore Conspiracy Case Bhai Sahib Bhai Randhir Singh Ji was the first prisoner of the Gurdwara Reform Movement for more than 15 years. He was imprisoned because of his involvement in the Ghadar Movement.

He is the only Sikh leader who in the last 100 years or more has been given 'Hukumnamas' and Robes of Honor by the 4 Takhts of Panth in recognition of his sacrifices.

The Autobiography is compiled from his letters from various prisons. He was a Gursikh who inspired Shahid Bhagat Singh to keep his hair and beard.

It recounts Bhai Sahib's spiritual experiences and the various tortures he received while in prison. He also describes how the Japji Sahib Paath changed his life.

Reviews and Comments:

I first read this book in 1983 and it struck a chord with my spirit. This was a story of pure love and relationship between the bhagat and the Guru through good and tough times. It did inspire me not because it was about Bhai Randhir Singh, the personality, in particular but because it cemented within me the resolve and the belief that it was possible for me as a common person to pursue the Guru's path through Naam Simran, Gurbani and devotion to the Khalsa rehet. " - Jagjeet Kaur Khalsa of California

"After reading this book, I have really started to read and enjoy the Japji Sahib paath with more conviction and devotion" - Avtaar Singh

"Dhan Guru Dhan Guru Piaray" - Harjas Kaur

"Reading about the tortures that Bhai Sahib Ji received gave me the strength to standup to the taunts I used to receive about my turban in school. I gave up all ideas of cutting my hair" - Nihaal Singh
